REMCo is the Retail Market Administrator for the contestable retail
gas markets of South Australia and Western Australia. REMCo's role
is to administer the business processes between the gas market businesses
in Western Australia and South Australia that allow gas retailers
to cost effectively compete for the supply of gas to almost 1,000,000
customers in these states.
REMCo commenced operation in Western Australia
on 31 May 2004 and in South Australia on 28 July 2004.
